Our Commitment to Inclusion

At Rhyme & Reason, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and equitable learning community where every child, regardless of their background, abilities, or needs, is valued and celebrated. We believe that inclusion is not just a goal but a fundamental principle that shapes every aspect of our preschool.

Our commitment to inclusion means that we strive to:

  1. Embrace Diversity: We recognize and celebrate the unique qualities and perspectives of each child, their families, and our staff. We believe that diversity enriches the educational experience and promotes empathy and understanding. We are committed to creating a safe space for 2SLGBTQIA+ families.

  2. Equitable Access: We are dedicated to supporting access to high-quality education and connection. We work to remove barriers and provide accommodations and supports for those who persistently experience obstacles in our society.

  3. Respect and Compassion: We promote an environment where all children and their families are treated with respect, kindness, and compassion. We encourage open dialogue and understanding of different backgrounds, cultures, and abilities.

  4. Individualized Support: We understand that every child is unique and has both basic and exceptional needs. We provide specific assistance and resources to help each child thrive and reach their full potential by working with professional therapists and support workers.

  5. Collaboration: We collaborate with families, professionals, and the community to create a network of support for every child. We believe that a collective effort is essential to ensure inclusion.

  6. Ongoing Learning: We are committed to continuous learning and growth, seeking to improve our practices and maintain an inclusive and equitable environment for all.

We believe that inclusion is the foundation of a compassionate and nurturing educational experience. We welcome all children and families to join us on this journey of learning, understanding, acceptance, and fulfillment.
